Brand suggestions on replacing OEM speakers on door & a Mini Amp

I'm old and lazy to look through this entire section. ;)
I did look at the thread on using OEM wiring to Alpine ktp444u amp.

Looking to upgrade just OEM door speakers. I know they're run via stock amp in trunk. I'm willing to buy a mini amp to run new speakers. I won't be installing this on my own. Probably go to a reputable car audio shop. I wanna be prepared before I go there knowing prices and so forth.

Budget for just speakers and amp, $250-$350. Not sure if I should go component 6.5 speakers or just Two or three way 6.5.

:) Thanks for the suggestions in advance. I appreciate it. ;)

what are you looking to accomplish by replacing the door speakers and amp?

Have you considered getting a hearing aid (or a new one/a second one) or at least new batteries or just turn it up?

Sorry, :( in advance

Speakers are crackling & sound has degraded that's why I want to replace it. Sheesh. Car sits 24/7 in the hot Hawaii sun. Heat & humidity number one killer of car speakers. Any suggestions will be appreciated. :)

Everyone’s ears and tastes are different. You have to go with what manufacturer sounds good to you. Take you favorite song with you to the store and play it on multiple speakers.

that is quite odd, as the build quality of the oem speakers is on-par with most aftermarket speakers

i haven't heard these, but the specs look decent, and they're for rougher environments.

then paired with this amp, i like shooting for around 50-100w rms with most of my builds..

that would put you around $195 + install costs. you could slim it down by only replacing the speakers instead of the speakers and amp. more than likely, the speakers are the root cause, amplifiers don't commonly go bad, as there's no moving parts to break down on them.
