Yes it will pull timing but that is only after the knocking occurs it can not preemptively save the engine when the wrong fuel is used.
THAT is all.

Really? Google how many car manufacturers have been sued for advertising the wrong engine horse power in their cars...

Here is just one case:

“Hyundai over-sold its cars' horsepower.
A 2001 Tiburon sport coupe. Hyundai
Hyundai agreed to pay more than $85 million in a settlement in 2004, after it overstated the horsepower of cars imported to the US, according to Consumer Affairs. The class action lawsuit was on behalf of around 840,000 people who bought the 1996 to 2002 models of the Hyundai Elentra sedans and the Tiburon sport coupes.

In 2001, the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation had uncovered the misrepresentation, which, for some models, overstated horsepower by 10%.

The class action lawsuit was brought in southern California in September 2002. After it was settled in 2004, Hyundai sent letters offering prepaid debit cards to affected owners. They were worth up to $225.”

And THAT IS ALL! (Pays to research).

Thanks for the nasty name calling...tells me a lot about the way you think.

I never said “you want to drive with less HP’s”. But that is what will happen if you decide to use a lower octane gasoline.

He was actually referring to your timing. A clever play on words.

Some “jokes” are simply bad jokes...

Let's not confuse civil suits with legal requirements. They RECOMMEND 93 to get the most power. They REQUIRE 91 to not damage the engine. Is this somehow above your understanding? If your whole understanding of things comes from Google you are going to lead a horribly confused life.

It did this on their recommended 93 octane gas, so, legally they have to indicate that you need to feed it 93 octane in order to stay legal with their numbers. What happens to the engine if you don’t use 93 octane? Simple...your engine will generate less horse power since ignition timing will be lowered to avoid engine knocking. And that’s it folks...and no, the engine will not blow up. Sorry.

You have 0 clue what you're talking about, you literally just made shit up.

They should have come with a Diesel option. Think of all that torque!

All that means is they lied about the horse power numbers. Not about what fuel to use.

Ahhh there it is. The "herd". A key catchphrase of sowflakes everywhere.
"I can't be wrong so everybody that says I am is part of the heard but all those that agree with me are united individuals"
