Valve Spring Recall for FI (Turbo or SC)

If it’s ok, I wanted to create a new thread for anyone who got or will get the valve spring recall done on a FI car. I’m trying get any feedback regarding dealers working in FI cars.

So, no one with FI has tried to get or getting this done?

Maybe they're too busy asking their local dealer directly instead of on here.

Or they left a reply in one of the other 100+ valve spring recall threads.

You could always join in the one already created in the Forced Induction section:

Already asked a few, but they said they can only know for sure if I get one of their techs to look at the car directly. My car is in storage for a bit, so was trying to see if anyone has already done it or got denied.

I don't think you will be denied as its free money from Subaru Dealerships make a killing on these kinds of jobs. ... but my guess they will charge you for removing aftermarket items... and to put them back on. Only way to find out is to talk with your service maint. department and be honest with them.

Mine is currently at the dealership waiting its turn for work. They had me bring it in and looked it over and said they would do it and charge for additional labor up to $500 for removing/reinstalling aftermarket parts. I've got an HKS V3 kit.
