OEM+ audio wires
A few months ago I picked up the tweeters and sub from an OEM+ 400 system without the wiring harness. I thought I could just quickly buy a harness from oem+ themselves. I contacted them and they told me they could custom make me a harness but would take a while. Three months in, and still no word so I'm getting a little impatient which of course isn't their faults...its an old model and I got it at my own risk. So I have a few questions... does anyone know if the wiring harness changed since the 86 platform change so little over the years? It seems like its an amp for the sub and an amp for the other speakers so was wondering if I could order a new harness for the latest system.
Since I don't know much about setting up audio I was wondering if any audio shop (bay area) can just hook it up for me? I would assume its just regular wires with Toyota head connectors right? Should I wait for OEM+ or is it simple enough to just give to a 3rd party shop? |
Yes any audio shop would have that done in a few hours. Should have done that by the 2nd week of waiting.
It's just wires, cut and splice. Easy work if you know what your doing. |
Contact Sandy of O+ directly and he will get you squared away.
I waited 10 months from when I commissioned them to make a custom harness to work with my '17 Starlink headunit coming from the stock '13 pioneer unit. Turns out my project was left lost on the TODO shelf, and once brought to their attention, it was completed and shipped within a week. Call them. |
Do you know how much it would cost?
