86 Cup is now running in the Rocky Mountain region

I'm happy to report 86 Cup is now running in the Rocky Mountain region. We will be running under the NASA Rocky Mountain umbrella. More info can be found here.

YES! Are the events going to be run at the regular NASA events? I guess I can ask Mark in a little bit at lunch [emoji16]

Yes, they will be run with NASA HPDE and TT, depending on the qualifications of each driver.
I hope Mark is feeling better. Tell him hi for me.

He is feeling a bit better, said hi to him for you [emoji16]

I need to figure out how to run both my BMW and the BRZ at the same event since I'm running the BMW in TT5 this year, haha.

That was one tiny link.

Thanks for prepping this. We'll go over the information as we're working with some other regions on their programs this season.

I can’t guarantee I’ll make any events, but I’ll keep it in mind. Good luck, Pat!

That's what I said about the rocky mountain region last year.

There are the Midwest and Northeast regions. Not sure how close they are to you, but perhaps you can reach out to find out how you can participate. :)

Midwest region is venturing as far east as Summit this year

We included the Gridlife South event last year, but decided to exclude it this year because of distance and low attendance from Midwest 86 Cup members.

We are starting to work on expanding our reach though. This year we have an event at Putnam Park, which is only ~4.5hr drive from Nashville. We also have a few others that wouldn't be too terrible of a drive for you.

Mid-Ohio (less than 7hrs)
Autobahn Country Club (7.5hrs)
Gingerman (7.5hrs)

The last two of which we will be running multiple times throughout the year.

If we see enough interest I wouldn't be opposed to considering an event at NCM Motorsport Park for 2020. We are running one of the SCCA Time Trials National Tour events this year (Gingerman), and if people enjoy that I could definitely see the Time Trials National event being a serious consideration for next year.

If you wanna discuss this more pop over into the Great Lakes Region section and post in the Midwest 86 Cup thread. Trying not to thread jack the Rocky Mountain group too much. ;)

Another idea: Be the one to start the series! It's not as hard as it might seem, but it definitely requires a coordinated effort between a group of dedicated folks. There wasn't a Midwest region until a few of us decided to make it happen!
