PNW Used BRZ/FRS Prices

What are you guys hearing on demand and prices for used twins in the Pacific Northwest? Asking because the lease is up on mine soon, and I'm trying to figure out what to do. KBB on my car is around $17K, but when I look at Autotrader, I only see 3-4 cars offered, and they're all over $19K. Is that because no-one's buying, or because they're selling like hot cakes?

It all depends on how many miles (and how much wear) you put on your car. If you have less then average; the price they offer could be an OK deal.

I have purchased a car at the end of a lease. It was an Acura RL, and after nearly 4 years it only had 20K miles. They were expecting 50K + miles. The price they offered me was good considering the low miles the car still had.

They are not selling very well. Dealers will list high and you can talk them down quite a bit. My roommate bought a used 2016 hyper blue for a few thousand less than listed price. The dealer admitted that they are just sitting on the lots for months and they want to unload them onto whoever wants them.

Got mine at the dealership for $16,300 2013 FRS w/ 33km. Like others have said, it all depends on the wear.

That's encouraging. Mine is a 2016 BRZ Limited with 12,000 miles on it (I have a short commute). Maybe I could get a decent price for it...

You could always get quick quotes from Carvana, Vroom and Shift online just to see what they'd give you... I believe Shift is the only one that has a location around here (Salem) but they offered me about $300 more than residual on my Forester.

Must be nice to live in Oregon where you can buy the leased car and sell it private party without having to pay sales tax twice.

Good suggestion. I'll give that a shot.

Bought my 2014 FR-S in January of 2017 with about 24000 miles for 15,900 at Gresham Toyota. Seemed like a decent deal at the time.

Just a heads up too, that I've seen a bunch of private listings lately in the 16-18k range for boosted ones too. Not a bad way to go since they're mostly drift office tuned.

Just got an offer from Shift that's more than $2K over my residual. Thanks again for the suggestion! :party0030:

Wrapped up the deal with Shift yesterday. They came through on their offer, and it was all pretty straightforward. They take care of the lease buyout too, which is nice.
