Recommend for me a good bad tyre :P
I'm currently running 225-section MPSS on 17x7.5 wheels. They've been pretty wonderful tyres, but I have to admit I've been enjoying the car a lot more since the rears have started falling apart (cords are visible, they're finished). It's kind of fun when the car feels like it's got an extra 200hp and you can spin wheels in second and sometimes third gear if the roads are damp.
To that end: does anyone have any recommendations for a "low-performance" tyre that handles nicely? Obviously I've tried the Primacies, but I really wasn't a fan-- particularly of their wet handling which felt like driving on clear ice. What I'm looking for, I guess: - Light-to-moderate much grip
- Performance that doesn't go completely to shit when it rains
- Mild breakaway characteristics / enjoys slip angle
- Decent ride quality
- Ideally nice and light
Anyone have a tyre they like?
I've already been looking at the Pilot Sport AS3s and the P Zero All-Seasons, but reviews suggest they actually make a lot of grip, still.
