Gas pedal shakes a little when i turn the steering wheel right?

Anyone know the cause for this? Just started happening, not affecting how it drives but it j makes the pedal vibrate for some reason.

What about if you just put your foot on the floor while turning? Try it in different places too. The car is DBW so it is not connected to anything else but some wires.

This is some kind of tire or wheel issue that is manifesting itself through the gas pedal. Did you put your foot over the brake to see if it shakes as well when turning?

Ive only really noticed it when backing up at an angle slow over my driveway from what i can remember. Maybe on some slow turns too.

Check your tire weights maybe one or more has come off

If your car has a manual transmission, it could be a bit of clutch chatter being transmitted through the support for the gas pedal - :iono:

Maybe the engine is lugging down a bit and shaking the floorboard that is holding the gas pedal - ??

There is a rubber seal where the rotating string shaft crosses the firewall, I've seen those start to squeek as the steering turns on various makes and models, and you could be feeling that vibration in the gas pedal, which should be mounted near it.

But some white lithium great spray and try to use the straw to get some in between the rubber seal and steering shaft.

I can hear squeaking when I turn my steering wheel at parking lot speeds, and I can feel the vibration in the gas pedal when it squeaks. Perhaps this is what the OP is experiencing as well?

Originally, I thought it might be low power steering fluid or something, but it isn't a continuous squeak when the wheel is held left or right, so now I think its just something squeaking in the steering column.

Would it be possible to post a pic of where you're saying to spray the grease? I'm thinking of trying this to resolve my squeak but I don't want to spray grease where it doesn't belong.

So, did you get that power steering fluid thing out of your head? ;)

To be completely honest, I didn't know until just now that the power steering is electric and not hydraulic. :bonk:

So yes, but not for the reason you think lol.

Pictured is the gas pedal. To the left you see the steering shaft, the back rubber boot at it's base is stationary and the shaft is greased to slip in it as it turns. You can see this one has green grease showing. get some in there in between the shaft and boot.

If you want, you can peek under the dash while turning the wheel to see if that's the thing making your nose first.
