Dasaita 7" Oreo 8.0 4GB+32GB PX5 Octa-core 200x100 Head Unit
Hi Guys
I just placed an order for this head unit, fits our 200x100 Toyota dash. Currently using the Pioneer AVH-ZL5150 which is also a great unit but very limited in terms of functionality. It does support Carplay & Android Auto and it does have excellent sound but I wanted a Torque interface to monitor oil temperature for track days along with all my current features. These Android units are popular these days and have come a long way in terms of processing power and reliability. They also support Carplay with the purchase of an additional dongle. Has anyone used this exact head unit? Model # HA2135-v840 Specs CPU: Rockchip PX5 Octa-Core ,64-Bit Coretex A53 OS: Latest android 8.0 oreo RAM: DDR3 4GB, ROM: 32GB Superior amplifier Chip: TDA7850 (4*50W Max) Radio Chip: NXP 6686, Low IF Tuner , High Performance Screen: Resolution 1024*600 (Capacitive Screen) Bluetooth: Hands-Free Profile / Audio Profile (A2DP) ; Free 1.5m Microphone WIFI/GPS Variable Key Illumination , all RGB colors Fast Boot time(2nd time): about 3s ;Cold Boot time: about 20-25s https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1Po2Qt...nq6x1NVXaL.jpg https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1ZtO.v...sq6yXSVXai.jpg https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1G4UMt...cq6zwhFXaw.jpg https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1DgPit...bq6z4sXXaP.jpg https://youtu.be/VRyLSCDIDe8 https://youtu.be/yfAiwS-PCUg Links Aliexpress eBay I'll post up a few photos once installed but really interested to hear from anyone who has installed this exact unit. |
I have this unit. I like it a lot. It will do Android Auto, but i haven't been able to download it on the play store as it doesn't recognize the device, so getting it on there is up to you. Also, depending on what year your car is, the reverse camera and steering wheel buttons wire up in a few different ways requiring a bit of custom work. I don't recall my exact steps, but I managed to piece it together from posts around here. A good stereo shop should be able to figure it out if nothing else, with the exception of Best Buy. And for god sake, make your fist action be to change the launcher.
I wanted torque as well, but I have an internet hot spot device that plugs into my OBD2 and I havent found a way to chain two devices off of the OBD2 without torque losing it's shit. So it's either internet or torque. |
the specs got me. the design is not my taste. i gotta ask, how does the controls feel without tactile buttons?
The bezels really bother me, especially when the top bezel is thinner than the bottom. |

Awesome, I knew I would find someone who has this unit in the 86/BRZ. Any pics mate? Maybe as a thought, download the android auto apk from an alternate source. The reverse camera shouldn’t be a big issue since I’m using an aftermarket camera, no need for 6v to 12v adapter. I also don’t have steering wheel controls. Why don’t you hotspot your phone? Tbh I mainly bought this unit for torque and dashcommand. I’m also interested in making a custom interface for it in my spare time. How’s the screen quality and reliability overall? Appreciate your feedback :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It’s a capacitive screen so it would feel similar to a new phone... I’m actually happy not to have tactile buttons. I actually don’t mind the bezel but I get what you mean about the bottom being thicker than the top. Small gripe I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
this is another option, but i have no idea how to get it from China.

Interesting but I’d rather stick to the known brands, Joying, Dasaita and Seicane. I couldn’t really get much info since the page is in Chinese. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Any updates?

Installed 2 days ago and I am very happy with it.
I’ve always wanted to create a custom display and the Dasaita HA2135-v840-8 is incredibly fast and customisable, android head units seem to have come a long way. This unit is a perfect fit for the 200mm DIN size of our cars and I paired it up perfectly to OBDLink MX Bluetooth OBDII dongle. The OBDLink MX is the fastest unit available and it’s exceptional for all intent and purposes. Carwebguru was installed and I began customising the premium curve theme. Currently testing both Torque Pro and Dashcommand and the results are both fast and clear. Take a look at the interface below, its a work in progress but I would recommend this setup highly. Tell me what you think  https://i.imgur.com/a47MVNX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/7M1vgSO.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FxZnCPi.jpg |
Did everything was plug'n'play ? (Wiring, reverse camera...)
Thanks ! |

Yes for all the standard equipment, it’s plug and play Toyota harness. I had to wire mine differently because I upgraded to a 12v reverse camera. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
dude that looks awesome!!! you think it would be hard to do on a 2018 brz?
|
Looks good. Wish I would have seen this prior to getting my new head unit but oh well.

So this one comes with the right harness to use the stock backup camera? No having to get another one, and splice it together? I'd be putting it in a '16 BRZ, so I wouldn't have to worry about the wheel controls. And, might also get their TPMS kit as well. That looks like a nice little add-on. Not having to muck around with other harness' would be a big plus I think.
