Shifter linkage boot

So when I removed my shifter I got frustrated (like many on this board) and I ripped the damn linkage boot off. So I am wanting to replace it now that I am over the frustration. The Toyota part number is SU003-00881 and the Subaru part number is 35016CA020. Stupid question. Are these parts identical? I assume yes. The Subaru part is like $5 cheaper. Plus the Subaru dealer is more convenient for me to order one. Also would it be better to install the boot on the shifter first and then over the linkage? Or over the linkage first and then over the shifter? I know lots of questions but I could use the help. Thanks

definitely same part. I like my Toyota dealer because they always get their parts overnight whereas I'm not sure Subie dealers work that quickly.

Same parts, I pit Subaru against Toyota based on how fast I need it by and price (usually price wins).

BTW blue anti freeze is cheaper with Subaru too.
