Stock sized odyssey? Other options?
My factory battery finally died. I think it has something to do with driving it less than 3K this year and not putting it on a battery tender when it got to be winter.....who'd have guessed.
Anyways, is there a factory sized odyssey or one that works without buying a lightweight battery kit? I'd actually LIKE to buy a lightweight battery kit, but don't think it would be the best decision for my situation. I've looked through the threads and tried to cross reference part numbers but the PC680 is the only thing that comes up (specifically for the twins) and its smaller than factory. My thinking with the odyssey is that it should be reliable while also being slightly less weight. Thanks in advance! I'm also buying another battery tender to help prevent this in the future. I have a couple other batteries I rotate through so I just need to do it, this is as good an excuse as any. |
Optima in a 35c fits perfectly! I have the red top. Made a huge difference in my car's startup speed https://youtu.be/nkVzlOFOxSY

I have had good luck with Optima in the past, although current reviews say their quality took a tumble. Unfortunately, everything I have seen spec wise says that's heavier than stock by a couple lbs. Quality information is hard to find, as some post on this forum says it drops 10 lbs. If that was the real case, I'd be buying an optima with no question. I'll probably just wind up doing the ft86speedfactory lightweight kit. Its reasonably priced, is a complete drop in kit, and with smart (IE not half assed...maybe plug it in to the tender....) battery maintenance I'm sure it would be reliable. |
