Functionality-wise, cant go wrong with OEM LED and build quality. I dont want to bother with the minor problems some people still get from Toms/Valentis like failing bulbs or burning lens parts. I just dont have the patience for that stuff.

Design-wise, I dont think its that far from aftermarket. Its definitely leaps beyond the old design. Newer one looks just like a beefier and more adult Valenti, or a less-dull Toms. The Toms just look like boring bricks in daylight. So all in all if you could get a used one at mint condition at the price of an aftermarket, i say go for it!

Lastly, im not sure if you will need a newer Flasher module to prevent hyperblink as I’ve replaced mine long ago with the SmartTap LED module.

Thats all! Hope it helps your decisions too

Nice! I see you're in the Philippines. Did you get it locally from a Toyota dealer or Motor Image? How much did it cost?

I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer the older tail lights. I love the ring of LEDs when they are lit up.

Either way, good job on the pics. They'll be useful to a lot of people.

I do too! I actually wish a fully clear version of the 2013 lights existed, kind of like on the last gen WRX hatches..

With the old style, you can install Diode Dynamics tail as turn, and have 4x super bright reverse bulbs...something you can't do with the new style. Moreover, the new style doesn't really match the 4th brake light assembly.

IMO the old ones look amazing in darkness, but in light they're horrendous.

Kinda wish somehow the new ones would've re-used the ring. Oh well.

I agree, the ring of leds on the old tail light looks much better. If they made the housing black, it would have been perfect.

+1 for the ring of the old tail lights... minus the white turn signal part.

It looks like a Ferrari at night and an ebay special during the day.

Hi Bro! I got it fresh used from someone who was swapping his 2018 to TOMs.

Yeah, the turn signals and all the chrome are what ruin and cheapen it for me. Kinda why the Intec ones actually look good
