Shogun's $20K Budget FRS Daily/Track Car
1 Attachment(s)
Some may say this is a downgrade but I decided to sell off my Lexus ISF and get something fun that I can daily. I have always been a Lexus/Toyota/Subaru person and decided that the best bang for my buck is to get a "budget friendly" FRS and turn it into a street daily/track warrior. Defining "budget friendly" means buying a pre-owned FRS and using the left over cash on some upgrades.
That said, I found a 2013 Scion FRS with 75,000 miles on it and pulled the trigger. With the left over money roughly $8,000 (you do the math, if you want to know purchase price), I made some quick purchased based off a friend selling some sweet brand new stuff at a fraction of what he purchased it for (good friend). I know there is a million things I could do to this thing but keep in mind "budget friendly" and I'm more after the thrill then having a competition machine. You can roll your eyes all you want when you see my list of planned upgrades but at the end of the day it's my car... 2013 Scion FRS Edelbrock Supercharger - $3,500 (I told you he was a good friend) Vossen VWS1- 19x10 +50 and 19x8.5 +45 - $1,000 (Told you...) Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - 235-35-19 and 265-35-19 $1,200 South Bend Stage 2 Daily - $560.00 Misc Stuff - Paint correction/detail, Fresh oil change, spark plugs, gear oil (trans and diff) and a whole lot of elbow grease. The above misc pays for the rest of the budget. |
Congrats on the beauty of an FRS! All very tasteful mods IMO!
