New Initial D Anime Announced!
 

So it looks like Initial D is finally returning as an anime! No release date yet, I'd guess winter 2012/2013 (Janurary-ish).

I'm fairly certain they're gonna continue the mangas plot, but it wouldn't shock me if a certain new 86 makes an appearance in the anime as well...

*EDIT* DOH!! I totally missed the Initial D thread we have here already. Mods, I apologize, so feel free to delete this thread or merge it with the old one :(
