I’m a noob

Good evening everyone.

I’m completely new to the brz platform but I just bought a flood vehicle to rebuild as a project.

The guy I bought it from said he replaced “3 computers” they were all used two from one car the third from another. He said that they just need to be taken to the dealer programmed to work together. Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay for this? Is it something that I can do with tech stream?

If that’s going to cost too much if I knew someone with a donor vehicle I could buy parts from, what all would I need to buy besides the key to get around the anti theft?

And last the car doesn’t get power unless you hook a cable directly from the battery to the interior fuse box. Seller said this is due to the computers needing to be programmed but at worse case, it’s probably just a engine to ecm wiring harness replacement?

Car is a 2015 brz and has push button start

Any input on the power? Or is the computer causing that too?

Security system has to be synced to get power. I think only a dealer can do that.

Like just opening the doors no interior lights, no accessory power anything as if battery is dead (when it isn’t) the security not being synced would cause this too?

Okay, So i finally got it and it has dome light, door lights, horn.

Gauge cluster doesn't power on no hvac and no radio

I know immobilizer would stop it from starting but I thought it would at least go into acc mode maybe even crank but not fire. The obd2 plug gets power but I cant put it into acc mode to read things. So is the dealer going to have the same problem?
