Tomei UEL + Invidia N1 Drone Solutions?

Hi all,

Recently installed an Invidia N1 catback and already had a Tomei UEL on my car. As expected, the drone was quite loud in the cabin, so I currently have the silencers installed on the N1 which definitely help reduce drone.

I love the sound of the N1 without silencers from the outside but the drone really is unbearable. Are there any solutions for maintaining that sound on the outside while reducing the drone in the cabin? I have seen suggestions about getting a resonated front pipe, but I thought I'd ask you all too. Thanks in advance

Get a rid of the N1 and go with something else...

It's the N1.

What frontpipe though? If you're not using stock, is there a cat?

A catted/resonated FP will be the most helpful - and OE is quite good, only hurting power at the very peak rpm range; given you have a UEL, you don't care about that anyway.

Currently running the stock front pipe, but from what I've read online, something like a HKS dual resonated front pipe would help significantly with the drone. Was just curious whether anyone else has an experience with before and after switching to an aftermarket front pipe.

still gonna drone when you're gonna let the car loose.

Getting a better quality exhaust will make a huge difference. I'm currently running a Greddy CS GTS v2 and it sounds 10000x better than when I had a N1.

Outside chance switching to a resonator will help with drone, but the overall volume level will go up which will probably be worse overall. Cats do a lot to keep things tame, more than straight-through resonators for sure.

Any double resonated front pipe will help with the drone. Ditch the catback if you want to get rid of it.
