Dyno of 2020 86 update.
Seems to have removed the torque dip. |

Although I am truly intrigued by the renewable, alternate fuel source. http://worldwideinterweb.com/wp-cont...-headlines.jpg |
Subaru's new direction is the e-boxer with a combination of a NA engine and an electric motor. Small turbo engines are outdated nowadays. The issue is not the performance figures, but the high fuel consumption figures. Not the usual posted values, but the real consumption figures under realistic conditions.
So, if we assume that the a next generation car will use a hybrid solution the real problem is how it will exist. The current e-boxer technology works only with a CVT. It would be a very different car from what we have now ... |
fingers crossed: STi brz automatic :)

We'll have to see. Maybe they'll develop a manual.

So I didn't bother to read through all the pages, whats official so far for the 2020 brz/frs/86? Discontinue? 2.4 FA NA? Turbo? Nobody knows?
