I know this is even further off topic, but am I the only one that sees the LFA as a design inspiration for the FR-S?

I mean, just look at the front ends:

You cannot tell me that isn't intentional lol.

IMO a V6 has better harmonics than IL6.

Sadly, the Supra is a BMW not a Toyota.

Just like the Toyota 86 is really a Subaru BRZ with a couple of Toyota P/N's.

It's just lucky the twins come from the breeding of 2 Jap car makers with good reliability.

If the twins were a Subaru and BMW mix I would not have a Toyota 86 :scared0016:

Subaru more reliable than BMW?

I'd take a BMW i6 over an ej25 any day in terms of reliability but IDK

According to consumer reports (take that with a grain of salt lol), Subaru is more reliable than BMW

I haven’t kept up with it...but back in late 90’s & 00’s the M series BMW’s when stressed a bit too much & would fly apart...may have something to do with their reliability...

I used to work at a BMW dealership, and one of the techs there hated working on the E46 M3. Apparently those particular i6's would not stay together over the long term.
He had his own E30 M3 and he said he would never get an E46 M3 cuz its like a disaster waiting to happen.

Or maybe the Prius? More just a case of deliberate cross model design from the same manufacturer. They want you to know right away that it is a Toyota family car.

I think it was evolved more from the FT-HS concept from long ago, that one was the start of the whole "is Toyota going to make a sports car again?" question.

Toyota design is devolution, not evolution. I think the front end of the 17 86 is ugly as hell, I can't imagine what the next gen (if there is one) will look like.

It grew on me. It's the one vehicle I think looks better with a front plate, to break up that bulge.

Well when you put a mass of honeycomb that is totally contradictory to the rest of the body on the front of your full size sedan god only knows what you will do with the sports cars.

The new Supra's front end doesn't look too bad in my opinion. Nothing as polarizing as the new 86 or Avalon at least.
