Are 2019s Around the Corner?

Hey, all. As I was pulling into my neighborhood this evening, my phone rang and caller ID was showing the number for my dealership. It was my sales guy following up on my request to update me when information on the Series.Gray came in.

This is where it gets a little weird: he says their Gray is showing to be in inventory next week. Confused, I asked to make sure he wasn't referring to the WRX/STi and he said that it was the BRZ.

For my folks in the dealer segment, does this sound right? I'm kind of hoping he's wrong because I'm not ready, haha. Thanks in advance.

A 30 second sesrch on Google shows that dealerships are marking them as on site stock. So I'd prepare to accept that it's coming to a theatre near you

Thought you already have the 50th anniversary one. Trading in so soon?

Local dealer has had a 2019 WRB BRZ RS (Canadian version of LTD with PP) sitting on the lot for about two weeks. However, SoC has no info on us getting a special edition yet.

Holy crap! The TRD SE version is 38K in Canada :eyebulge:

That's correct and... the 2018 BRZ tS (which I personally prefer) listed for a grand less plus I got about $1700 more off that as well as the financing at .5%. :)

My dealership is Northern VA already has a Series.Gray on the lot. Looks pretty sweet! Although, I think it could use the STI Aero Kit to help the baby blue...umm, I mean cool gray khaki...look a bit better

SoC was running a promotion. No loyalty discount though.

Oh, good call.

I think I was a little "in the moment" when I posted this and just wanted to run to my forum friends before digging deeper. Looking back at the press release, it even stated 2019s would be arriving "this fall." Totally missed that!

Haha, I'm ashamed to admit that I really want to. When the STi Sport was revealed in Japan, I knew that was the BRZ I wanted had it come over here. Conveniently, the Series.Gray was announced after I bought the 50th, and while I definitely like mine, I still am head over heels for the CGK color. My plans to trade to S.G were under the assumption that the model year timeline would be like 2018 (Spring release), though, so I'm a little ahead of schedule. We'll crunch numbers when the car comes in and see how bad this financial decision will be on a scale of 9-15. If it doesn't work to my liking, at the end of the day I still have a great special edition in the Heritage Blue. Realistically, we can't have it all.

Thanks for the input, everyone!

I think my local dealer has a Series.Dull on the lot, but I couldn't tell because that grey khaki color is invisible in rain.

It will be a pretty terrible financial decision... you’ll be losing a lot of money to simply change colors. But hey... if it’s worth it to you, go for it.

I went to the dealer today to test drive a Series.Gray - because I love the color. They did have that one and a couple other 2019s. Above MSRP, too!
