So you left your lane because he was in your lane. You didn't stop them or they didn't stop? If no is this because it's just your word versus his/hers and you let them get away?
And if this is the case, it looks like a dash camera is in order for next time around if this happens again.

It was the safiest option if we hit head on , one of us would have been leaving in a hellicopter , and no they just kept driving..

Head on? Against a Tahoe they'll just roll right over the top of you and you can drive right through unharmed.

A 2014? That might be totalled.

Good thing it didn't happen at 12:00am

Your story of avoiding an accident to cause this damage will count as an at fault claim, failure to maintain control unless the other driver admits he crossed over into your lane.
Looks like you need a fender, rocker, door, wheels, body work on that under quarter panel and suspension work.

Are you repairing it yourself or with insurance?

I dread having to make that choice in this car. Not quite as much in my 06 Durango but it still scares me. It seems like I miss this happening by seconds (or less) a couple of times a week.

This is why dash cameras are the go.

I hope it works out in the end for you.

Rockette BUNY ?

Tcoat 10-28-2018 01:37 PM

Nasty.
That is going to be very, very expensive and will take an experienced shop to do.

If you have tonpay cash for that repair might be better to junk it. At least 10k. Sorry man
