Front bar scrapes

Hey Guys,

I have an 86 GTS on order (hopefully, which will be available for delivery sooner rather than later, but most likely will be 2013).

I am thinking of dropping it an inch and fitting 18" A/M rims. I'm concerned about any potential scraping/bottoming-out issues this particular set-up might create.

Just curious to know if anyone here has a similar setup and experiencing any issues.

Thanks!

I've scraped mine and it isn't lowered

sydney is the worst for lowered cars. Having to be careful all the time just sucks.

I wanted to lower my 86, but wont.

The front on the 86 is already low as it is. It just clears parking over normal height gutters in car parks.

I've scraped the underside of my front bar (very minor) just from coming out the driveway. It's on stock suspension.

That sucks.

I like that the 86 sits quite low straight out if the factory, but the wheel/arch gap is epic. Good thing I'm not a fan of any of the kits - can only imagine the damage those front lips endure.

Ditto.

Anyone trying to lower their FR-S must live in a different world from the asphalt moonscape most of us inhabit.

Just have to know how to drive a car that sits a few inches off the ground. It's annoying after a while. The angle of exit I have to take for my work's parking lot is absurd...

Years of driving "slammed " hondas has taught me to have a sixth sense for dips, bumps, bad driveways, etc....I am enjoying the stock ride height but i know i will eventually lower it down, and then complain about it being too low, haha its just a vicious circle
