Broken Sun Visor

Got into my car today, felt something in my teeth so I pulled down my visor to do a quick check in the vanity mirror before driving off.

As I pulled the visor down, I heard a sickening "snap". Seems like the mechanism inside the mirror arm that holds the visor up has broken, so the mirror would no longer stay in the "closed" position anymore and was hanging down RIGHT in front of my eyes. I tried pushing it towards the windshield, but it wouldn't stay there either.

Tried duct tape; wouldn't hold to the fabric headliner. I needed to leave for work literally that very minute to avoid being late, so I had no choice but to completely unscrew and remove the visor altogether just so I could see enough to get to work.

Anyone else experience this before? I doubt it can be fixed so now I'll need to try to find one to replace it.

Nope.

I suggest a dealer or a junk yard.

Answer is yes, many of us have (there's a thread or three on it around here someplace).

Replacements are all over eBay. Like here:

Thanks fellas!

Gonna try local auto recyclers/wreckers first, as I don't really want to ship, and really don't want to pay ridiculously-marked-up dealer prices for a part that I realistically can live without in the meantime.
