So I did a thing! LS7
So about a year and a half ago I purchased an LS7 motor with all intentions of putting it into a domestic muscle car. Turns out never found anything I wanted and for a good enough price range. I love my brz and figured people have done ls swaps already. I just got it done and took it for a test drive. This mother f'er is crazy.
Short run down is ls7 switch to wetsump, cx racing mounts and headers, t56 Magnum xl with straight cut gears and a dual disc clutch. Driveshaft by driveshaft shop.com. Stock rear end and axles. Will change as needed. I wasn't looking to build the fastest straight line car. Just something to show off a bit and take on some of the bigger cars on the highway. I will post more pics and videos as I get them. Just in the testing stages as of now. Finding the leaks and addressing any issues. |
Let’s see it!

Good job man, what are your plans with it? Just have fun around town or track events? Either way, let’s see some videos.
You’ll laugh at how many people try to figure out what’s up with your car at stop lights etc. |
Do you have a front swaybar? What did you do for headers? Those two things seem to be the biggest hurdles people have run into.
|
Headers I just used the cx racing ls headers. Haven't done nothing with sway bar yet.
And I'm just here to have some fun and mess with Corvette guys and the higher end cars. |
