Error Code B2779

I have a jdm gt86 that came in from Japan with the following fault code.
The car will only start following this procedure. Press the start button and a orange key illuminates on the dash, if you then hold the key on the start button the key symbol changes to green and the car will start.
The door locks will not work and the car does not recognise the keys. When you push the start button the the red led on the key flashes as if the car is searching for the key but will not bring the ignition on and will not start unless you follow the above procedure.

I have replaced the key battery. I cannot find any info on this fault code online anywhere. Does anybody have any info on it.

Thanks Chris

you using the start proceedure for when the key fob battery is flat.

If the key battery has been replaced you may have problem with key fob, try the second key if you have it or may be problem with the vehicle antenna system.
or the key needs to be re-registered with imobiliser/security

You may have to get your keyfob re-programmed with your start button . I had my local locksmith Reprogram a key fob for me on my 2013 BRZ because I had to buy a new one which was actually used but the locksmith reprogrammed for me. The locksmith may have to reprogram the key fob for your car and that may work???
