New member- looking for a TS
Hey all!
I just signed up the other day in hopes of finding a TS for sale. Willing to travel, but looking for a deal similar to another sale I saw (250mile car sold @28,200). I plan on primarily using the TS as a track car. I’m coming from a Porsche GT4 which I sold/traded to my dealer in towards an incoming 991.2 GT3RS. The RS as great as a car it is, will only be ran a couple times at track with the TS getting the majority of the work. Hard to track a 200k+ car regularly. Anyways, it looks like you all have a great site here. I’m an active rennlist.com (porsche forum) member and hope to be just as active here. Thanks! And a picture of my old gt4 which was traded last Saturday. Sad to see her go! A link to my gt4 thread if you all are interested https://rennlist.com/forums/gt4/9267...-blue-gt4.html http://i66.tinypic.com/2s8k0vm.jpg |
Money seems nice....

Wow... $28K is damn cheap. I paid $30K + tax.

Last time I was at Pacific subaru they had one on the showroom floor, might want to give them a call. That's where I got mine.
|
CarMax in Fresno just got one. Not listed on the website yet so I don't have details on price or mileage.

30k is better than I’m seeing now. I found a few at 31500. Quote:

Why start with a Ts when a race car eventually throws most of the Ts extras away?

Not looking for a race car. I thought about it but don’t want to deal with a having to store a non street legal car then haul it to track. TS checks quite a few boxes. I considered a e46m3 but have always enjoyed the firs/86/BRZ chassis. |
A company called Vroom has a TS I found when I was searching for my Brz.
Had like 800 miles on it. https://www.vroom.com/inventory/suba...ZCAD13J9600411 |

Because if you're not going bananas, the only thing you need to do to the Ts is install an engine oil cooler and then maintain it. It already has better tires, brakes, and wheels from the factory. After you get done doing that to any other BRZ/FRS/86 you typically install an engine oil cooler, and then it's only a question of adding power or cutting weight. Besides the engine oil cooler the basic supporting mods for a dual-use track car are already present on the Ts. Had the Ts been available when I bought mine, I would have got one and that's exactly how I would have seen it. Now that it's available, it's perfectly reasonable to buy one at its minimal price premium over a normal BRZ if you aren't planning to turn it into a trailer-only dedicated track monster. |

Kidding aside, have you given autotempest.com a try? Sort of an online sales aggregate site. Used it to find the car below. About an 11 hour drive home, and with more miles, but willing to bet the price can be talked down. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...t&CMP=atempest Edit: Miami Blue GT3RS? |
