GPS inaccurate after new battery

I replaced the battery in my 2015 BRZ recently and have been having an issue with my OEM GPS. At first it didn't lock any satellites but after about a day it seemed to finally find them. However, now my position on the map is never accurate. Everything else in my NAV seems to be fine except for the map. Any advice?

Did you instal the battery inside a garage or enclosed area that blocked the initial signal? Had the same happen with my previous car and I had to unhook and reconnect the battery outside so that it loaded the right data on startup.

No, it was outside. I see on the screen that I have full connection for satellites but just my position on the map is wrong. Sometimes it fixes itself but most of the time it's wrong.

There wouldn't happen to be a compass option on this map that is locked into the wrong position?

Also try removing the nav sd card and reinstalling it

Although I own a MY18 with possibly different GPS I had same issues after a problem with my alarm that drained my battery in three days, the first few days it showed me always wrong position.
But after some driving at open roads it is working perfect now!
