Smelling from E85?

I’m on my 2nd straight tanks of E85, now I can smell some ethanol in my cabin. Being new to E85 and flex fuel kit, is this normal?

I get it from time to time. Usually when first starting and backing up. But no one has ever noticed but me.

I get it from time to time as well. No big deal.

Currently missing 2 cats. I smell it in my sleep now too.

turn it on recycle until you get on the road

Do you still have your cats? If not that's probably why. You also might have an exhaust leak.

I love the smell of E85 in the morning!

Still one cat remaining in front pipe.

I would check all of your exhaust bolts and be sure you have no leaks. I get a bit of 91 smell when I back out of my drive way... I think due to the cold start. After that it seems to go away. Even sitting idle at a stop light I don't smell it.

No cats here. With petrol it smelled so bad on a cold start. On E85 its night and day better. I never smell it inside the car unless the windows are down. I also run my AC vent closed most of the time (Florida humidity) which may help.

Speaking of E85, anyone else get super annoyed at people who use the pumps as parking spots? In Florida they typically only have two pumps running E85 and it seems these end up being everyone’s favorite parking spots. Errr

The only e85 pump in 35 miles. Dude was inside getting food for like 15 minutes. I had to get about 3 inches from his bumper but dammit I got my juice. He looked at me like I was keying his car as I drove away, just as he was walking back.

Do a some full throttle pulls then pull over and take a whiff.. Smells like someone puked up the dead rat they found and ate the night before then diarrhea-ed on top of it.

Only smell it on cold start and backing out. This stuff is addicted. I kept telling myself - "Ok, this is my last E85". Five tanks later and still getting high on corn vapor..
