Thoughts of fitting sideskirt as opposed to fixing LH sill damage.

Hi Guys,
I brought a 2014 GT86 (dead stock) that came with a few spots of damage from the original owner. Keeping in mind it’s a daily driver I am trying to fix everything up to have it looking as good as possible but whilst keeping costs down.
The most obvious damage that I am looking at first is a pretty decent little dent to the LH sill. It looks too deep to pull out without damaging the paint so it will be a decent panel beating exercise.

I am considering whether or not I should install an aftermarket side skirt over the dent and not fix it at this stage or whether I should just fix it and be done with it. The car is no show pony so trying not to overcapitalise on anything.
Open to all suggestions.
J.

Paint the sill to prevent rust and go for a full TRD body kit!

Yeah Trd kit looks pretty nice. I would definately consider going a full kit that goes over standard if it costs similar to the repairs back to standard. I have seen a few nice ones with carbon inserts

I think you should fix it, it's not too difficult to have a panel beater easy beat that out.
I'd rather have a blended paint job than a dented panel but thats just my preference.
You can always hide it with a side skirt I guess...

I have the same dent, also know my car is no show car, but a car I enjoy and try to keep nice. Shop quoted me $2000 for the dent and panel respray plus to fix paint chipping on the other side. I'm spending $120 on rep skirts instead.

Just keep in mind that if you get a cheap/replica side skirt, you may have fitment issues, which might make you end up spending more to make it work.

Im in the same boat. Im going to attempt some filler and I got good matching paint. Im going to attempt to spot blend since its in a low area. Don't really want to add the weight of side skirts to my build

If you do wanna go side skirts, the Vertex skirts are very nice in my opinion.
