Catted Front Pipe w/ Catless Header sound difference?

I currently have a perrin 2.5" resonated catback and Motiv overpipe/front test pipe. The sound is Perfect IMO.

will the volume increase if I goto a catless header but switch to a HFC Motiv front pipe?

I'd like the gains of the header, but dont want to increase volume.

(I have a set of HKS EL headers Ceramic Coated that could go on)

Any input?

Yes

It will be louder but not obnoxious. I have a HKS header, 2.75 Ultimate racing resonanated over/front pipe and same Perrin exhaust. Very livable not even any rasp.

Honestly not enough worth mentioning. When the car was stock with a NON resonated Perrin exhaust it was louder than it is now.

I found that the stock header with a test pipe was a bit quieter than a catless header and stock front pipe (same catback).

So I would try the catless header with your stock front pipe first, assuming you still have it and are not running forced induction.

Good to know. I guess I’ll see if I like the volume or I’ll just sell the header.
