$5 part renders car useless.
Anyone else see this video?
If what they are saying is true it's doesn't put Full Blown in a nice light. They claim the spacer for the middle of the diff was never installed and caused broken parts and wasted money. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcyJfFI38SU[/ame] |
according to the comments FBM blew him off:
When I said the part was missing they said that was unlikely and to ship the diff to them so they could inspect it. We needed the part urgently as it was beginning to cost a fortune pulling it apart only to find it didn't fix the problem. Shipping cos of the heavy diff was $200 (the diff centre itself is only worth $500), so we suggested "how about we just buy a new diff from you, and ship this one economy rather than overnight, then you inspect it and refund us for the new one once you're satisfied with the diff being at fault". They denied that offer and flatly ignored me. We made an extensive video proving as best we could that the part must not have been included (there would have been scuff marks on the stubs, as well as evidence of the circlip that holds the inspection plate on), and we sent them the link - to this date they haven't even bothered opening the video to look at what we were trying to show them. My issue isn't that a workshop made an error - my issue is how they chose to ignore me to hope I simply went away. |
It will probably turn into a case of "he said, they said".
