UEL+track pipe too loud - single left exhaust options?

I am starting to tire of my current exhaust setup on the street. I have the OFH catless with overpipe, stock frontpipe and midpipe, and Nameless track pipe.

Around town it's ok but on the interstate is just too much. I have blanked out the pass. side cutout and I really like the look of the track pipe sticking out. It does sound great on the track but I am driving my car less and less due to the noise.

I don't think any aftermarket midpipe will be quieter than stock. I could go with an all-new catback, or the tiny-muffler trackpipe than Nameless offers. I can't image that little muffler doing much. Most of the single-exit exhaust setups I've seen exit on the passenger side.

Who makes a left-exit single? Or - would adding another resonator to the midpipe make a difference?

Tomei type 60-s with the silencer in. it still won't be quiet by any stretch of the imagination, but way more livable than track pipes. With a catless UEL you are still very much right on the line of what is feasible as a DD car though, even with the silencer in. Another resonator is only going to help with drone not volume. The only things that stop volume are cats and muffler mass.

Never heard it in person but the Blitz Nur Spec R single exit is on the left and seemed quiet in videos. Not many people have it so hard to find one to hear before buying though.

I think one or two users on here reported it as being quiet as well. Though people say the N1 isn't loud either so YMMV haha

@finch1750 nailed it. I’ve posted this message several times in the past, but I think it applies here again...

I have a Blitz Nür Spec R stainless steel exhaust that I think may fit your requirements - it’s reasonably quiet, sounds great with my ACE 4-2-1 Type-A 350 equal length header, and is a lighter than most exhausts. Overall, it’s exceeded my expectations and I’m a pretty tough customer. Check out post numbers 8 and 9 in the following thread to read a little more about it and to see photos on and off my car:

My vote, while biased, is the Tanabe Concept G. It sounds great but it manages to keep all of the noise outside of the cabin. It's loud outside, but it doesn't disturb with windows up.

What i'd wish would be opposite. More aural pleasure for me as a driver, without car being annoyingly loud for neighbors, cops and alike. This is also a reason, why i'm not that against idea behind criticized stock sound tube. Yes, sound passed in by it sounds artificial and not of that good tone imho and also passes some road noise inside cabin, but it does serve purpose of making things louder only for me inside, while keeping noise levels civil outside.

Time for something with a muffler/new catback. Easy problem to solve. I was in the same boat and ended up with a catback that has a muffler.

Get a turbo, it quiets down the exhaust note :) From what I see/hear, the Tanabe exhaust is the quietest single left exit.

The Tanabe was loud AF when I installed my Tomei UEL. A buddy got sent to state ref with the Tanabe and catless UEL too, so loud enough to draw cops attention for sure.

Turbo really is the best muffler though lol

If its the loudness that bothers you then yes, get a muffler or another system to bring the db's down.

If its the drone or resonance you get on the highway then I would pay an exhaust shop a couple bucks ( or a buddy with a welder a couple beers ) to slap a nice long resonator in line. It wont make it quiet like a muffler but will make it much more tolerable.

Just my two cents.

Haha I have it with a full catless setup, but I live in FL and my county pretty much doesn't care. You'll only get bothered if you ask for it for the most part i.e. speeding.

Thanks for the feedback. I may try the Nur single.
