What’s Your EDC?

Recently I’ve been hooked on watching EDC YouTube channel, so thought try it out here. If you’re wondering what’s “EDC” it stands for Every Day Carry. So what do you carry around every day?

Here’s mine:
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3818db4baa.jpg

Watch - iWatch 2 w no name red band. I get notification often and get sick and tired checking my phone, so iWatch is handy to see if it’s important to reply or not. Plus having red band is nice. I have black band for some formal occasions.
Wallet - Chelsea slim wallet. Recently bought this wallet. Not a fan of having a huge wallet and I like to have leather wallet. This is working nicely and keep all the stuff I need without killing my ass.
Phone - iPhone 8 Plus. I need to check the forum often and a lot of time I’m not near pc, so it’s nice to have big screen and good battery life.
Phone Case - GetBear leather magnet case. Leather over to keep things classy plus cover is magnetic, so it work perfectly with Scoche magicmount on my car if I need to use my phone for gps.
Rings - SquareEnix FFVIII Sleeping Lionharte & unbranded silicone rings. Sleeping Lionharte is my wedding band daily, but when I play soccer, Work on the house or car, I wear silicone ring to keep my finger safe.
Knives - Kershaw Leek spring assisted & Schrade Pocket fixed blade. At work, I often have to cut papers, boxes, tapes & so on, I carry Kershaw Leek to make things easy. I also carry Schrade Pocket knife as a spare, cuz once a while coworker or supervisor come to help and 90% of the time they don’t have anything to open/break the boxes & other stuff, so I let them use Leek & I use Schrade.

I also carry AirPods and keys, but they weren’t near the bed. (AirPods were charging at the office & keys are by the door)

Discussion about guns are not allow. If you didn't go further than as is, don't see much problem.

About 25 extra pounds mostly around my middle.

ermax 09-10-2018 01:16 PM

I'm a minimalist when it comes to crap in my pockets.

Garmin FR230 with RFID stuck to the back for opening doors at work.
iPhone 7
Minimalist wallet (https://www.nomatic.com/pages/wallet)
Single key to my FRS with no keychain
Wedding ring

I enter and exit my home through the garage and can open and close my garage door from my watch when I come and go from runs.

I would love to ditch the key and wallet and use the phone or watch for everything. The auto industry makes too much money on $400 keys to go with some universal system for unlocking/starting cars from a phone. I'm also a bit annoyed that although Google and Apple both use the same industry standard NFC payment system, the two can't coexist at some retailers, not for technical reasons but due to being paid off to accept one over the other even though at the cash register they are 100% identical.

I've shaved 20lbs since March since doing IF. Now need to maintain this weight while gain muscle.

I love it. I was concerned about it not holding up well but it's about 3 years old (just checked, got it January 2016) and still going strong. I like how you simply pull the strap and the cards expand out so they are easy to grab. You also don't need that many cards in it to be snug enough to not drop stuff. Putting cash in it is kind of a pain but I rarely if ever carry cash these days.

Here it is after almost 3 years:

Wow! It's holding up pretty well. Even after 3yrs. Of course there are few wear and tear, but nothing bad from the look of it.
