Diecast Subaru BRZ thread...

Never could find a little Hotwheels BRZ, so I looked around Ebay to find a diecast BRZ for my office.

Found this one by Top Mark, arrived in the mail yesterday! This one is 5" with decent details, doors that open and might have pull back feature on the rear wheels that propels it forward.

If you have a diecast BRZ, post a pic here!

You can find all the Hotwheelz FRS / BRZ on ebay. I got the blue limited edition BRZ (came in the larger collector pack of….9 cars) , loose clean for like $6

Go onto ebay, search : "Hot Wheels Scion FR-S LOOSE from a Multi-Pack" , and it's a bit over $7

I picked up one of the BRZ tS die casts for $130 last night. Total worth.

I have one like this on my desk at work https://www.ebay.com/itm/Takara-Tomy...UAAOSwf15ae3r1 The picture on the box looks exactly like my WRB PP BRZ.

Yea, I know that you can find a FRS easily on Ebay...I was specifically looking for the BRZ, want its front bumper, badging styling cues & name on the packaging.

It's more difficult to find an actual BRZ, not a FRS/86 listed online/Ebay.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind having the little Hotwheels FRS though!

I saw that there is a larger scale, more expensive diecast BRZ. Can you post a pic of yours?

Sure, once it ships.

Autoart one is the best. It's more of a collector model though

If you are looking for a good quality, semi-well detail die-cast cars at accessible price ($10 to $15 average), always look for the "Takara Tomica" brand. I had the opportunity to travel to Japan and even there this toys have a good reputation. You can find most of the the models in e-bay, including the Subaru BRZ. I have attached a picture of my desk "mini-collection" of AE 86, GT-86 & GT-2000, including my daughter's picture, in the background...

The Autoart BRZ was only available in RHD so I also ordered a FRS as a donor to convert the BRZ into a LHD diecast Model.

Yeah, they go back to the '70's (not so sure pre-'70's) , but they were well known for making vintage Star Wars related items, mostly R2D2 and Vader specific items, diecast vehicles and figures, wind-Up R2D2. They also slapped their brand sticker on the fronts of carded action figures ( first 12 Star Wars action figures at the time.... 1978-'79). One of my favorite vintage brands, but I didn't get to think that they may make diecast cars , thanks for the heads up!!
