I drive an AT FR-S that doesn't make me any less of an "enthusiast" and certainly not less "pure" :lol:

Not to disagree, but to add my two Lira worth, with the over two dozen vehicles i've owned, only thing to go wrong was the auto trans in three of them, totally trashed and needed molto 1000s of $ to fix...one jeep, one toyota, and one fiat. glad you've been lucky

Well, I've never had a AT from Jeep or Fiat, and this is the first one I've owned from Toyota.

Most of mine have been in GM products, primarily truck type vehicles where the trans was built for much more stress than I ever put on them. I have owned Honda and Ford autos, although they weren't me daily drivers. No issues with either of them.

It may just be the luck of the draw, it may be we drive differently, or it may be I now know not to buy a Jeep or a Fiat.
