MY18 EUDM BRZ read/write problem with Ecuflash
Own a MY18 EUM BRZ and while my Windows 10 laptop communicates with the ECU and reads MY, VIN etc, during handshake ECU cuts suddenly the connection, any suggestion please?
Problematic USB cable or what else? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psgz5d9dbu.jpg By the time of trying to connect I used BRZ 13+ OEM reading method SubaruBRZ. Someone told me it needs 20" inside the programm before I press twice cars start button and Ok in Ecuflash, could this be true? :iono: And one more question for those that know well Ecuflash and Romraider. I'd like, for various reasons, to copy maps from OFT or Wayne ROM to my own ROM (I don't care about FFS and LC). As far as I know OFT V4.03 uses different Romraider def file than OEM wich means I CAN'T load similtaneously OFT def & my OEM ROM def in Romraider and copy maps from one ROM to the other as they are same call ID. If I load my OEM Romraider def file it should read all the factory maps of OFT (or Wayne) ROM except those added later (FFS, LC) and I won't have problem with my edited OEM ROM if I copy other maps to it, am I correct? |
Make sure ignition full on, not just accessory
But engine not running After you select read or write wait 10-15 seconds before clicking ok after you turn ignition full on with engine stopped Make sure battery volts above 12 and switch all un necessay electrics like radio lights fans off before flashing or reading If still no good are you sure car has not previously been tuned with ecutek or brzedit ? |
You making life hard by copying all the maps back to your stock rom, jist get an oft k00g or waynos k00g and use that, if you dont want lc or ffs jist disable them. Disabling lc ffs takes 1 minute, to copy all the maps and cgeck will take hours

Problem solved, a new shorter USB cable.
