Fuse blowing is a symptom not a cause. If you just keep replacing the fuse you are doing it wrong.
Need to find the root cause. Did you change anything at all before they started blowing?

Stang70Fastback 08-19-2018 10:31 PM

I'm confused. Did the same fuse blow up both times? Did you replace the 7.5A fuse with a 15A fuse? If you did, you need to step away from the vehicle before you make things any worse. Fuses are there for a reason, and they are a spec'd to their respective limits for a reason too...

As Tcoat said, a fuse blowing is a symptom. It is a last line of defense before you fry something on the car. You need to find out what is causing the fuses to blow. We may be able to help, but we at least need more specifics.

yes i have replaced a 7.5A with a 15A fuse ,like this fuse is the dash and without it there are no turn signals the alternator doesnt charge and when it dont charge and run the electricals the power steering goes out and the ecu of the car goes off which dies out the car.

These are all the systems that fuse is setup for. I would advise to see a dealer. Also, don't change the fuse Amperage from what it came with. It's set at that amperage for a reason.

7.5A GAUGE

ABS
Air Conditioning
Charging
Clock
Combination Meter
Cruise Control
Electronically Controlled Transmission and A/T Indicator
Engine Control
Engine Immobiliser System
EPS
Headlight
Illumination
Key Reminder
Light Reminder
Seat Belt Warning
Shift Lock
SRS
Taillight
Tire Pressure Warning System
TRAC
Turn Signal and Hazard Warning Light
VSC

That is ABSOLUTELY the wrong thing to do. You need to bring the car to a shop and have it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. You are going to cause MORE damage to the car with your actions. Putting a fuse in with twice the current capacity after the original one blows is the WORST thing you can do. You are literally doing the exact opposite of what the fuse is intended to do - stop an electrical overload from frying electronics, melting wires, or starting a fire.

You need to stop driving the car, and bring it somewhere to be serviced. If your car catches fire and burns, and your insurance company finds out you doubled a fuse, they could very easily deny your claim on the basis of negligence and intentional misuse.

OP, listen to what these guys are telling you. Pull that 15A fuse now and quit driving it.

Have it towed to an expert.

He was already told this almost two months ago but didn't listen then so doubt he will now.
The "My car burned up and it is Subaru's fault" thread should come any day now.

Ho-lee crap! It did sound awfully familiar.

strmshadow84 08-20-2018 09:59 PM

All these guys are absolutely right. You probably have a short somewhere in your system and by replacing it with a higher fuse your potentially allowing other systems to have more power (which=heat) flow to them then they were designed for. Take it to the dealership and allow them to figure out whats going on with your car.

Ain't nutten wrong with ol Tcoat's short term memory -

Better than I can say for ol @Ultramaroon 's - :sigh:

OP, I suggest you just give your car keys to someone else and ask them to arrange to have your car fixed. I'm afraid this situation is waaaay over your pay grade.
