My 51R battery is still chugging away. |
I ended up getting a Deka ETX15L. I'd used a Braille 14115 previously.
I 3D printed a spacer to center/hold it within the stock battery tray and raise it up just a little so I could use the stock tie-down. Also 3D printed a block to fit around the curved part of the stock hold down and to spread the load out over a wider area. Seems to work well - I'd done something similar with the Braille and it held up through 2 HPDE seasons and was going fine when I traded the car. The deka was way cheaper than the braille. $80 all in with the terminal adapters. Deka 11.8 lbs with mounting hardware. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/pict...ictureid=12403 Stock 33.95 lbs with mounting hardware. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/pict...ictureid=12402 More on the 3D parts here : https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...&postcount=123 |

Until, I forgot my oft plugged in for 5 days. The charger became recalcitrant swapping into charge mode , after 24 hrs. the charger would still not go into charge mode, but it eventually went into store mode. Will report on reliability, after a long one of these - :burnrubber: |
