thanks for the post. nothing entirely new here, but still a fun video.

ouch... 0-60 in 11.78. Automatic + High elevation + fat dudes + hot day....still, that's awful.

They get slower every bad video they make.

***** cat vs lioness :)

chantaiman51 07-27-2012 06:08 PM

The time make sense though, 991c2s with double the hp at half the time. 11.76 vs 5.96. Anyone know whats the elevation the shot the cars at?

nquillen 07-27-2012 06:15 PM

I love living in Colorado but the 34HP(83%) loss because of altitude on the BRZ sucks.

And that's just at mile high altitude, go drive the peak to peak or trail ridge and it gets even worse.

The 325i I had was a completely different car at sea level.

nquillen 07-27-2012 06:21 PM

They said the 0-60 was at a mile high, which like I mentioned in the previous post is ~83% loss in power.

When they were driving it looked more like left hand or lee hill (which makes sense because they are located in Boulder, CO). Those roads start at about 6000 feet and go up to near 9000.

I live about 14 miles from there, those roads are amazing fun. Recommend them to anyone visiting CO.

Bad comparison is bad.

The BRZ Went from 2700 lbs to 3400 lol.

chantaiman51 07-27-2012 06:28 PM

Thanks, didn't catch that the first time viewing the video. Boulder, Co elevation is 5430 feet.

I can't imagine being a 25 year old with student loans spending 28,000 dollars on a new car. I would say that most of the 25 year olds who buy this car must be IT or engineering grads without student loans and are making at least 50,000 starting.

Exactly. I hate that both these lards sit in the car every time they do a 0-60. except when they tested the mustang...
