Cheapish laptop recomendation for ECUTEK use?
I am currently a desktop only person. I need a laptop if I want to upgrade from OFT to ecutek.
The only uses for this laptop would be for ecutek and some light coding. any recomendations? |
You dont neer a powerfull laptop
I use a sh*tty aspire one and still logs at 30hz |
Check out dell refurb center, always good deals there.
https://www.dellrefurbished.com/lapt...40-144809.html That will run Ecutek all day long with no problems. |
make your investment worthwhile, get something with an atleast an i3, 4gb of ram and a SSD.

my laptop is an intel 4200u with 4 gigs of ram and i passed 2 cores and 2 gb of ram into a windows 10 vm and use that for ecutek. literally any piece of shit will work

If that is seriously all you are going to use it for, hit up your friends to see if they have one in a closet somewhere, hit a pawn shop or look on eBay for a "refurb" model of some sort after reviewing the minimum specs on the application.

Lenovo T-series (420, 430, etc) can be had for $100-130 on ebay, and usually come with HDD and OS installed.

I'm seeing good deals on ebay too, just have to check condition carefully and make note if the seller gives information on battery life or if the hard drive/AC adapter is included. |
