Ls swap, aus specific question

Since emission laws eccentially make it so you cant swap in an engine older than when the car was manufactured would this still matter with an LS3 that was made before the car since they were still being sold at the time the car was built? A reco'd LS3 is about half the price of a new crate motor and wonder if they are a viable option

Anything is possible, to a point, it's all about how much money you have

Not sure if this document is still current though, you will need to do some research within your states traffic authority

Great idea, but good luck getting it engineered.

Not sure if this is relevant but in Qld, there is no facility that can test for emissions, so there was (maybe still is) an dispensation on emissions effecting mods. So I have no cats but can't be done for emissions because no one can test :)

EDIT: Brisbane city council can now do emissions testing. F***.
