Well, it wasn't me (I have a red one), though I do live in Solon, so you are going right through my area.

The white one could have been me if it was late in the afternoon/early evening running between Harper Rd. and 306. I've still only seen one other one in the wild, an orange FRS in Strongsville.

So I was wondering, any of you have some good twisty roads that you know of? I know of one stretch that is about 2 miles long its a nice little spot if you don't get stuck behind anyone.
just type into Google (just the numbers)
to 41.439972,-81.207376
from 41.463835,-81.192775

Chagrin River Rd is great if you don't get behind anyone. There are a few stops, but it's really pretty and probably amazing with the fall color right now. The best part is between RT 8 south of Willoughby and Miles Rd west of Chagrin Falls.

I have been going down to southeastern Ohio and running the roads down there. Speed limit is usually 45-55 MPH and you are pushing it to maintain anywhere near that in the twisties. RT26, RT 536, RT 800, RT260, parts of 78, 83 and 555 are all good. Up here there are only a few places that are good. Some say Bath RD from just west of RT8 to I77 is really good but speed limit is low and you have to watch for deer in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I sure as hell do not want to hit a deer with my MR-S. It would be in my lap. Also if I remember correctly Sand Run Parkway is pretty cool but again it has really low speed limits and can have lots of traffic through the Metro Parks.

For anyone that is interested I believe there is supposed to be one more Cars&Coffee on October 20th to finish out the year.

Sounds like fun, maybe we could plan to try something after the next cars and coffee.
Meaning that day. Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Perhaps C&C followed by a little "sprited" group drive culminating in lunch somewhere.. sounds like a fun day!

Hey Pete.. What's the best mpgs you've gotten on a tank so far? I think I remember you saying you get up to 40 when cruising.

I had a tank come out to 36.2 a couple weeks ago.. And that was with stop and go traffic in Chicago. Pretty awesome to get 6 mpgs over the EPA highway estimate.

Yeah the meet and drive would be fun. Wow you guys are getting great mileage, I was getting almost 33 during the break-in period, now I'm at 31ish. This is all from the gauge in the car I have calculated it myself yet.

The day I got the FR-S, we dropped my fiancee's car off at home and that's the first place we went for a drive. It was great fun, especially near the Chagrin Falls area.

Now that I have 5350 miles on the car I can tell you the worst has been 32.4mpg. I average 34.2mph most fill ups. I had one that was all highway and driving at 70 I got 40mpg. Most of my driving has been combo hwy/city. I only get aggressive a couple times a week. I drive for the most part on 480 and 90 and that traffic moves. In the am I am at 70mph from warrensville to west 130. The car is great on gas. I had an Acura RL that got only 23 or so at best with the same driving. Can't say enough about the fun factor + the gas mileage. It is an auto though and they post them a bit higher than the manual. The drive and lunch sounds great. I'm in. We should think of leaving Sunday as a back up if the weather is bad. Thanks everone for being on this thread.
