April/May Flooding/Tornadoes

Sooo how did you guys fare? We got enough rain in one day to make our backyard creek double in size. It rained for several days and throughly flooded in the local swamplands/creeks/rivers and we did get a few F1s and and F2 during the supercell but nothing as severe as Alabama.

I've got a few friends in Tuscaloosa that were fortunate enough to have missed the disaster area. Though, they've been doing a lot of volunteering to help with cleanup. Conversely, I had a friend from Chattanooga come and stay at my place for a couple days when a tornado trashed the area where he lived and knocked out his power for about a week.

Wow, you guys must have all died :|.

That last storm ripped through Missouri, worst single tornado ever?

Was nothing more than a light show with some wind when it hit here.

Between the heat and the severity of the storms I'm not enjoying this Spring one bit :/.

Yeah me too. When I saw the special white circle they made for the Ohio/Mississippi river area on the Weather channel, I thought we were going to get it. It dissipated long before it got here though.

Joplin, Missouri was hit pretty bad a couple nights ago :/.

Well this last cell had hurricane force winds, 70mph. We lost power and I had to pull off some loose housewrap(house is a constant WIP), made it hard to sleep. The storm was a lullaby after 11 o'clock but before that it was pretty fierce and we took some precautions.

Hope everyone is staying safe and dry!
