Question about dash icons and headlights/fogs/highbeams

Hi Everyone.

Picked up my 2018 86 GT a few weeks ago and finally drove it at night yesterday. I've looked through the manual, but didn't find what I needed so I thought I'd ask.

When the head lights are on: there is no dash icon indicator. Seriously?? I have a 4Runner and RAV 4 and both has a green icon on the dash showing headlights are on. Or is my dash icon for headlights not working??

Highbeams on: blue icon on dash showing highbeams on

Fog Lights: green icon on dash showing fog lights on

Can someone confirm that there is no headlight dash icon indicator? Thanks!

Correct. There is no low beam indicator.

If you turn the fog lights on, they only illuminate when the headlights are on also, so you can effectively use the fog light indicator as your low beam indicator.

Never thought about this. I don't believe the pre-2017s have this indicator either.

Just set it on auto.

The fact that the entire dash lights up is a pretty good indicator.

The entire dash is a lights on/off indicator, at least on my 13.

Appreciate the confirmation and the suggestions!

Look out the front windshield if it is dark they are off.

The knob at the end of the turn signal stalk is a pretty good indicator of whether your lights are turned on or not. Sheesh.

You may also like to know, that the car will not let you know, when your windshield washer fluid runs low. At least on the '13's it doesn't

Why do you need a low beam indicator?

Hey I'm simply asking to see if there is some kind of magic functionality that comes with a low beam indicator that I may not know about. Like an in-car taco maker or something.

To be fair, the entire dash also lights up when you have lights set to parking mode.

I've driven off a few times with lights still in parking mode lol. Didn't notice headlights were off until I got on a darker local street.
