Engine Bay easily gets dirty?

Every few weeks, whenever I open my engine bay to give it a quick fluids check, i notice its REALLY dusty/dirty. Which is suprising to me considering our other cars only start to get dusty after a year. The BRZs engine bay is literally 10x faster in getting dirty/dusty. Is it something of the design of the car? lets more air in somewhere? hood ventilation design near the windshield? Or could there be something wrong with my hood seals or something...

Are you missing your metal and plastic shielding underneath? Having removed even just my plastic undershield, my engine bay gets significantly messier.

What does that look like?

Under my hood basically has the large insulation foam at the center, and then it has these rectangle long rubber seals that seal off above each headlight. anything missing?

The dirt/nasties are likely coming from beneath, the shielding is under the engine. The initial shield is raw metal color, pretty hard to miss. Plastic shielding covers your transmission underneath

This guide here shows the to panels I'm referring to.

Thanks. honestly not quite sure right now - but does the BRZ Limited have these panels installed?

Most definitely. Unless a previous owner (were there one) removed them, as I have mine. If you can take a couple high exposure photos of the underside of the car from the front, I can tell you right away if one/both are missing, provided I don't go blind between now and then.

Can you see through to the ground if you look down between the engine and radiator?

Down the engine no, the radiator area, i can pretty much see the ground sans the area that the header covers. Could it be because the car/engine is lower? thus ground dust easily dirts the whole bay up?

People call this aluminum panel a skid plate but it's not. It's there for aero. The engine bay quickly gets dirty without it.
