a few noob questions about OFT

I just purchased OFT v1 and I have a few questions. OFT is being shipped as we speak:

1. I live in socal where the summer can get pretty hot. Is it ok to leave the OFT in the car at all times or will the heat mess it up?

2. In terms of the OF manager, can I install it on 2 computers or is it tied to just one? I don't really have a personal laptop (altho my wife does) and just use my work laptop most of the time. However, you know how jobs are. I can get fired at any time.

3. I can't seem to find a lot of dyno graphs on the stage 1 tune. Only one i could find was for the 2017+ one and a couple for the v2.076 stage 1 tunes. Anyone have one for the v4.03 tune on the pre-17 MT?

4. v4.03 seems to be the popular choice. Any downside besides a less sensitive throttle? To confirm, the 91/93 tunes are the same?

5. When i first open the OFT, i plug it into the computer to get updated along with whatever tune i want. Then i go to my car and upload the tune. I am assuming this is the correct procedure?

I lived in Phoenix and now in North Texas. In the 2 years I've owned it, I've left my OFT in the glove box, never out in the Sun. I can tell you that mine still works fine.

Results may vary.

If you're concerned, don't leave it in there.

I always left it because I thought I'd need it but I've never needed to change my tune on the fly. I just plan when I'm going to need it.
I do still leave it in there though.

Yes I put mine in the glovebox with no problems. There are some people that use a mount but I'm not sure if they keep them out in the sun or not

Id would not leace oft in direct sun on hot day its unlikely its eesigned for thosectemps especially screen.

You can install ofm an as many computers as you like it will also connect to any oft. The oft marrys to car that it no other restrictions, your oft can log any 86\brz it onlyflashing that married to single car.

Use v4.03 tunes

With v4 theirs no 91\93 any more you will get vetter result on 93

Thoers

Also no el\uel either jist stage1\2

Stage 1 is only slight poer increase mabe 5hp or so little more on 93 but reduced torque dip

thanks for the comments. unfortunately, my office doesn't have a parking garage.. i guess i could just put it in my bag and bring it in the office with me... i do plan on keeping it in the car most of the time in the case of an accident.. plan on flashing back to stock if an accident were to happen

Honestly just keep it in your glovebox and out of direct sunlight and it will be fine...
