Need graphics card or a fix

I'm running a NVIDIA 7800GT/driver 9.18.13.908. It's a dinosaur I know and since I don't play PC games any more I wasn't planning on updating it.
Now the problem is I can't use Google maps in 3d. If I go to Google Earth, I can navigate a little and then , it goes black.
Could be drivers and could just be it's getting tired, not sure. I had some artifacting and updating the drivers helped that a while ago.
I tried a bunch of things by searching "Google maps 3d mode" and got nowhere. Apparently I am running in "Lite mode" which will not allow 3d rendering on the maps.

Any computer dudes have any ideas or should I just get a new card? Don't really want to update since we are in a retard age of graphics cards right now.
I built my son a gaming rig 4 years ago with a GTX970 and the card in there actually stayed the same price....4 years later, that's bonkers.

you can get a cheap amd rx 550 for $115 and never have to worry about it for another 5-10 years. Might as well, especially if you are not gaming. amazon.

You can get any entry level discrete graphics card for under $50 that will do what you need.

Not sure of your budget but you can get a brand new computer for $250 since you don't need anything powerful.

..time to use a normal map for a while...

I would just buy a used & slightly newer card off Ebay. One of my 6970s (running 2 for Crossfire) recently died in my old gaming PC. I have a newer PC with a GTX 1060 so I just wanted something cheap to replace them and I found 2 x AMD 7870 HDs for $40 bucks each and I replaced both cards. For a nearly 8 year old build, it still holds up quite well and can play most modern games at an acceptable FPS. New GPU prices are a little absurd but any slightly older card that is worthless for mining should be perfect for what ya need..
