How long to wait before getting alignment after lowering car

So my RCE Yellow Springs are actually out for delivery today. Didn't expect them this soon sine I just ordered them Wednesday evening. But with them supposed to come in today, I'm thinking I might try to get them installed this weekend since the wife is working Saturday morning.

My question is, I know i have to get an alignment after they're installed, but since the springs need time to settle, how long should I wait before getting the alignment done? Should I try to get it done a.s.a.p., or wait a week? Two weeks?

With my work schedule during the week, I don't have a lot of free time so I'm trying to plan things out on how I should do this properly.

Thanks for any help!

RCE has said typically anywhere from a day to a week is fine.

Drive it to the alignment shop and get it aligned. Will be fine

Between ASAP and a week is fine.

I have the same question. So I'm installing my coilovers next week hopefully but I'm also getting new wheels in a week or two so is it recommended to get a alignment after I install coilovers or wait for the wheels to get an alignment?

After coilovers. You generally do not need to get an alignment after getting wheels as you have not altered any suspension components. If you end up changing your ride height after getting new wheels you'll have to get another alignment though.

Thanks for the info.

Might be at the later end of the range, as even if I do get the springs installed on Saturday, I typically leave for work around 4:30 a.m. during the week and don't get home until around 5:00 p.m.. Usually get out a couple hours earlier on Fridays, so I'll probably see if I can find a place local to me that can handle lowered cars to do the job Friday afternoon. Unless I can find a place that's open late in the evenings, in which case I can get it done earlier in the week.

This is all assuming I'm able to get the springs put in tomorrow. Never done the job before, and so I'm a little nervous about tackling this for the first time!

Yeah, took a look at that last night. And the kit just arrived, and that also includes instructions. Doesn't seem too difficult, but my father-in-law was going to sit with me while I was doing it as he's got a lot more experience working on cars than I do. He wasn't going to do any of the work, since he's been battling cancer and he gets tired really easily, but I would feel more comfortable having a second set of eyes looking things over. So a lot depends on if he's feeling up to it or not (and I have to do the work over at their house anyway since I just have a gravel driveway/garage floor which isn't ideal for using jacks/jack stands).

200 miles. Driving compresses the springs better than letting the car just sit.
