Best/cheapest way for sidemarker delete
So.. Lost my second pair of side marker to them coming off during a drive. I know, shoulda learned the first time...
Now, I'm willing to buy a cheap set of side markers and superglue it to the bumper if need be, but my question is... Can a delete/cover be done cheaper than $50? Kinda tired of half-ass solutions lol |
Hmm, idea interested me. Side markers were one of things which i hated in twins design, and their mounting way too flimsy and PITA to deal with those clips if bumper had taken some hit.
Cheapest would be if you still had old one .. to glue it in place and paint over :). I could google only on prototypes, never on completed product you can buy. link #1, link #2 |
I saw some of those too, they seemed the perfect solution...
I have a buddy of mine in another state who said he'd 3d print me one if I had the file, but I have no idea how those things work |
Well, the cheapest and best solution are almost never the same.
I went the cheapest route and painted my stock markers. I misted on the d6s scion paint till it looked solid, while still letting light through. (silver paint is easy to do) They actually look normal at night. Edit: The clips are nice at first, but break. mine are held in by 3m grey double sided tape. Never had one come loose. |
