This is silly,

Just turn your high beams on, they don't shut off with the PARKING brake

then you can drifto at night all you want..

why'd we spend 5 pages discussing this? pcguru2000 has written a freaking research paper

On a historical note, waaaay back in the day …… the brakes had a dual function …… brakes …… AND parking brakes ……;)

brakes = parking brakes = hand brake = side brake = emergency brake = foot brake

I've never debated whether or not to use the hand brake for parking cause my car doesnt have a "P" mode...


On another note, do DRLs go on with headlights on the newer models now? On the 2015 BRZ it was either or, not both. Unless you have the Always-On mod from DD or something else DIY'd up.

after reading all the angst this has caused the OP, it totally makes sense why manufacturers got rid of the parking brake :cry:
