Open Flash tablet connection issues
 

Hi,

Today i received my OFT and have tried to read my original ecu file but upon trying to read it i get an error "Error, ECU in recovery mode, reading not allowed" Not sure whats wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated!

So i have also figured out that maybe the issue isnt that the ECU is in a recovery mode as when i just try and connect the oft to the car in other ways, such as looking at the Realtime Data Display, i am unable to even connect to that. Could there be a problem with the connection?

yes if it wont connect to read ecu info or diagnostics might be hardware or connection issue.


remove battery terminal for few minutes then try again this will reset ecu

A friend of mine had an oft so I was able to use his cable and managed to tune my car so now I just need to buy a new cable! Any idea where I could source this cable?

the cable between oft and car obd port is special cable only available from oft guys or someone who sells alientech tunning tools (oft is alientech device)
